SOFTWARE - HARDWARE COMPLEX FOR THE EARLY DETECTION OF THE ONCOLOGIC PATHOLOGIES - "ONCOTEST-1"
The new diagnostic complex "ONCOTEST-1" is based on the method of the same name for early diagnosis of oncologic pathologies of the man, developed by Ukrainian scientists, patented in Ukraine, Russia and registered by the International Bureau of the Intellectual Property in Geneva.
Complex includes:
- device for visualization of sample images;
- module for signal input into the computer;
- collection of reagents for reaction;
- computer;
- applied program batch for the automatical classification of sample images;
- user's instruction.
Technology of the examination
One or two drops are withdrawn from a hand finger and a smear is layered onto a slide. After drying out a smear is processed sequentially by three reagents (N1,2,3) at an interval of 10 minutes. In 3-4 hours afer drying out reagents, characteristic rounded "spots" are formed (oncotests). The colour and the structure of the oncotests significantly differs from patients oncotests with cancer pathology.
The smear of the flood, proceesed by reagents is layred in the device, which transmits the image of every oncotest into the computer. The software enables to analyse the image in the interactive regime and print the received result.
The method was subject to trials at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Phtysiology and Pulmonology on 5000 examined patients. The diagnostic sensivity and specificity of the method is equal 86-92 %.
ONCOTEST, as a method, is recomended by the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine for screening malignant neoplasms in the population.
The capacity ability of the diagnostic complex is equal 100 examinations per diem. Diagnostic complex may be installed in any treatment-and-prophylactic institution.
For the work and service of the diagnostic complex it is enough one laboratorian and the physician, which was trained by the manufacture's firm.
Software functions in operative shell of Windows and is specialized for processing, saving and recognizing the images of sample tests.
The number of images, connected with patient's card is not less of 6. The probability of the recognition of the oncotest's images is about 0,9 %.
